Two Eastern Orthodox Painted Icons of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker

Late 19th-early 20th century, tempera over gesso panel, both mounted with an ornate pierced repousse brass riza, with saint identification in Cyrillic НИКОЛАИ, the smaller panel with later pencil inscriptions to the verso.

Smaller 8 3/4 x 7 x 1 1/4 in.; larger 12 1/2 x 10 3/4 x 1 1/4 in.

Some denting to brass; smaller panel with vertical crack with stapled repair and some associated image losses; larger with some small abrasions to the painted areas, and missing one cradle to the verso.
