A Moment With Claire Fraser
"Leland Little is proud to bring this original work to market for the first time since 1944." - Claire Fraser, Vice President of Estates & Consignments
Originating from the mind of Diego Rivera, in the year of 1941, this India ink and watercolor on paper has journeyed from Mexico City, to New York City, to Greenwich, Connecticut, to its present day location within the Leland Little Gallery. Originally titled by Rivera, Mujer cargando ayate, this work is characteristic of his images of Mexican Campesinos and his ideals of social equality.

Listen as our Vice President of Estates & Consignments and Fine Art & Silver Director, Claire Fraser, describes Rivera's technique and the social reality from which this work was born. This fresh to the market India ink and watercolor is being offered in our Signature Fall Auction which opens for live bidding on Saturday, September 9 at 9am. Pre-bidding is available now.
