2019 Conde de Hervias 'Trinidad' Rioja $32
A gorgeous expression of the tempranillo grape from Rioja Alta, produced with fruit from three different historic single-vineyard sites, all planted to the original, ancestral clone of tempranillo. One of the vineyards, Las Arenillas, dates back to 1874 and was used to help with replanting Rioja after phylloxera decimated the majority of vines in the region. The winery hand-picks all grapes, following organic practices and using all native yeast. After fermentation, “Trinidad” sees 12 months in large, lightly used French and American oak barrels, lending a hint of smoke and spice to the soft, ripe, red fruits that are prominent on the palate. This is a truly classic and elegant Rioja, the perfect introduction to the style for those new to Spanish wine.
We hope you’ll join us and taste this wine, as well as three other excellent bottles, on April 18th. Tickets are $35/person and are available now through our
