In our March Estate Auction this past Saturday, March 28th, a selection of vintage cars and rare motorcycles garnered enthusiastic online bidding, resulting in particularly strong hammer prices for several of the vehicles.
Just months after the last ever Chevy Impala rolled off the assembly line (General Motors discontinued the car in January 2020), an early model 1964 Chevrolet Impala SS sold for $14,500 in the March sale. Also in the classic car category, a 1973 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible brought $16,500.
The automobile category of the March Estate Auction was well-rounded, with offerings of off-road vehicles and motorcycles balancing the classic sports cars. A 1979 International Scout II took bidders back to high school dreams of top-down truck driving, and sold for $19,000. The jewel of the motorcycle lots was a very Rare 2004 Moto Guzzi V11 Coppa Italia, one of only 40 like it ever produced. The Guzzi, as enthusiasts affectionately call the bikes, sold for $7,000.
