Stag’s Leap is one of those wines that truly requires little introduction. The SLV (Stag’s Leap Vineyard) was the winery’s first vineyard, planted in 1970. In 1976, at the famous Judgment of Paris, it was the 1973 Stag’s Leap Cabernet Sauvignon that took top prize against some of the most-lauded names in Bordeaux, launching California Cabernet to the front of the world stage. Today, Stag’s Leap continues to produce some of the most iconic and outstanding wines in Napa Valley, and this vertical showcases their commitment to excellence while also giving a glimpse into the evolution of the SLV Cabernet across three great vintages. Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate ranked the 2016, 2017 and 2018 with a 97, 95, and 97, respectively.
