2018 Gusbourne Blanc de Noirs $89

I've spoken before about Gusbourne and the quality of sparkling wines produced from their vineyards in Kent and West Sussex, England. The 2018 Blanc de Noirs is no exception - 100% Pinot Noir, from an excellent vintage with plenty of warmth and sunshine for optimal ripening. This beautiful bubbly has a rich nose bursting with ripe orchard fruit and delicate floral notes. On the palate, it is full and elegant, with buttery brioche and apple pie flavors tempered by a delightfully complex and slightly saline finish.

2023 Ryme Vermentino 'Hers,' Las Brisas Vineyard $25

From Carneros in Sonoma County, the grapes for this delightful white are harvested for peak freshness and energy, inspired by bright, clean examples of Vermentino from the Sardinian coast in Italy. The Las Brisas Vineyard is cool and foggy, lending refreshing and mouth watering notes of lemon zest, white flowers, and ocean salt, balanced by a richly textured mouth feel and depth that makes each sip a pleasure. This is an impeccable picnic wine that would be equally at home on a beach next to some grilled oysters or delicate whitefish.
