All You Need Is Love... And Wine

If you’re on the hunt for a fun evening out with your loved one or if you’re looking for inspiration to prepare a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner for two at home, we’ve got just what you need.

Join us on Friday, February 9th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. for our All You Need Is Love… And Wine event. We’ll be tasting and learning about four different wines that pair perfectly with all the elements of a classic Valentine’s menu – from appetizers to the sweet end of the meal. Dessert pairings can be tricky, but we’ll give you the tools to make sure your romantic dinner starts and ends on a high note. This will be a fun, relaxed, and educational tasting with plenty of hors d’oeuvres and ample time to mingle and browse our gallery space.

2018 Domaine Maubernard Bandol Rouge $29

Bandol may be a region that is completely new to you (as it was to me until very recently). Located on the coast in the south-west region of Provence, this French AOC is best known for its rosé, but its red wines are a true hidden gem - big and age-worthy, but with a structure and subtlety that makes them approachable and delicious right out of the gate. The 2018 Domaine Maubernard Bandol Rouge is a blend of 80% Mourvedre, 15% Grenache Noir, and 5% Syrah. It has a deep, rich color in the glass, with a rustic, spicy nose and slow-cooked jammy blackberries on the palate. This wine is a delight to drink on its own, but it would also be a dream paired with a classic Valentine’s meal of steak or braised short ribs.
