A lifelong Virginian, Dr. Larry Southworth grew up in Caroline County, received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Richmond, his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University, and cultivated a beautiful home on Caroline Street in the old district of downtown Fredericksburg over the course of many decades. Dr. Southworth's lifelong love of learning led him to delve deeply into art, music, history, and collecting fine antiques. He had a keen collector's eye, and curated a classical 18th century Virginia home full of rare and beautifully crafted objects, regardless of category.
