Dunigan is best know as a mixed media artist and sculptor. Born in Provincetown, RI, she grew up scouring the beaches and dunes of the New England coast. She was a faculty member of the North Carolina School for the Arts and was also named 1994 Artist of the Year at the Sawtooth Center for Visual Design in North Carolina.
