Possibly Connecticut or New Jersey, worked in multi-colored silk thread on linen, comprised of upper and lower case alphabet rows above a rectangular panel stitched "Wrought by Grace G. Hawley in the 10th / year of her age Ridgefield Sept 1829" surmounting a pious verse. Completed by a three chimney home with fence and trees flanked on either side with flower filled baskets, within a diamond form border.
