Early 20th century, the lid stamped "J. P. HALL / OLDHAM" above an applied metal hat badge for The Royal Sussex Regiment, the case with brass lock and mounts, the interior lid bearing the label of Manchester gun maker T. Stensby, the case's well divided into six compartments fitted with leather straps with which to secure ammunition. This suitcase comes with its original fitted oak stand.
