The first of mahogany veneers, raised on suppressed bun feet, mother-of-pearl keyhole escutcheon, the interior with two hinged lidded wells flanking a mixing glass, the main box lid lined with tasseled red velvet (7.25 x 12.25 x 6 in.) (moderate fading and wear to the velvet; minor areas of veneer loss at seams); the second a William IV rosewood caddy with mother-of-pearl inlays, two lidded interior wells, the box lid's underside line with embossed paper (6 x 8.5 x 5.25 in.) (chip to the keyhole escutcheon; repairs to lid's rear corners).
