The first having mahogany veneers with cross banded and herringbone inlays throughout, brass handle on the lid, two lidded interior wells, key included (4.75 x 6.5 x 4.5 in.) (some shrinkage hairlines, else very fine condition); the second of mahogany veneers with lightwood shell inlays on the front and on the lid (4.5 x 4.5 x 3.5 in.) (key lacking; some exterior loss at seams; loss to interior lead paint lining).
