.69 caliber, 43 in. barrel, walnut stock, the lockplate stamped JENKS'S / RI and dated 1813 behind the hammer, PG stamped near breech, the sideplate engraved with the name "George Borden," likely the soldier who owned this firearm. Includes appropriate US marked socket bayonet.

This classic War of 1812 American longarm was purchased from the late Norman Flayderman in 2001.

Working action; metal cleaned; 1.5 in. hairline split to the stock extending at a diagonal upwards from the front of the sideplate, usual dings to wood from normal use; the bayonet's fit is loose. Overall fine condition with only trivial pitting near the breech.
