Attributed to James Gheen, Rowan County, late 18th century, walnut, yellow pine secondary, the top with a molded edge and canted front corners over four graduated lipped drawers, flanked by fluted quarter columns which terminate in a lamb's tongue at the base only, raised on a molded base with shaped bracket feet.

37.5 x 40.25 x 21 in.

Full dust boards; foot facings applied to original full "U" block; canted front top corners; lower lamb's tongue; all are features of Gheen's craftsmanship. Rosehead nail construction.

Replaced pulls; upper drawer missing lock; top reset; missing cross dividers from top drawer; hairline break and repair to original front left foot.
