Pennsylvania Chippendale Walnut Tall Case Clock

Late 18th century, yellow pine secondary, bonnet with arched and molded door surmounted by swan's neck pediment with applied rosettes, dovetailed hood supported by two fully turned columns, waist with hinged single molded door with shaped top and chamfered corners, chamfered corners to waist and base, molded base with ogee bracket feet, later steel engraved face with second and date hand, gilt spandrels and upper moon dial, metal works with white pine seat board.

Pen and ink partial label to underside of hood; with rosehead nail construction.

Works not original; Bonnet with three finials, two early turned wood finials which might be original and one later brass finial; lacking pendulum, weights and keys; replaced glass.
