This painting is after the original entitled Le reveil de l’Amourr by Léon-Jean-Basile Perrault. Perrault's painting was exhibited at the Paris Salon of 1891 and was purchased by the Doliber, Goodale Co., to hang in their Mellin's Food Exhibit at the World Columbian Exposition (World's Fair), Chicago in 1893. The original painting sold at Sotheby's in 2014.
