Circa 1800, possibly Valley of Virginia, yellow pine secondary, two part form, projected cove molded cornice with dentil molding above an applied scalloped frieze over two double molded paneled doors flanked by stop fluted quarter columns. The base has a hinged slant lid with breadboard ends, the divided desk interior features an unusual central configuration in the classical form, the arched upper drawer slides forward thus allowing the raised tombstone paneled prospect to be removed revealing a stack of three short drawers; four graduated cock beaded drawers raised on an applied spurred bracket foot base.

Estate of the Late Jean Curtin-Stults of Georgetown, Maine, a prominent folk art and Americana collector.
