An examination of Spanish law penned during Spain's emergence as a world power (insect damage to covers; the spine disbound, but intact and present; further insect damage to the first few pages; expected age toning with scattered light damp stains. Good condition considering the book's age); García de Saavedra, Juan, Tractatus de Hispanorum Nobilitate, Exemptione, sive ad Pragmaticm cordubensem, que est l. 8. tit. II. lib. 2. novae recopilationis (1597), 392 pages plus 49 page index, quarto (12 x 8.25 in.), vellum wraps with manuscript spine, a look at the nature of Spanish nobility ( Stains, splits and some warping to the vellum; moderate foxing; good condition overall).
