Originally hailing from Georgia, J. Chris Wilson has long called Wilson home. He has been on the faculty of Barton College from 1974-2012 and is now the college's artist in residence and awarded professor emeritus status. He has exhibited widely throughout the southeast and his "From Murphy to Manteo - An Artist's Scene Journey" was recently featured on WRAL's popular Tar Heel Traveler.
