METROPOLITAN MINIATURES, (New York: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1950), eight volumes, 4to (11 x 7.5 in.), embossed orange linen book-form boxes with black spines, each containing full color perforated adhesive photos pasted within booklets covering the range of the museum's holdings. This collection was distributed by the Book-of-the-Month-Club and essentially brought the Met into homes across the nation.
