Mid-19th century, two tiered painted wooden front, the lower section with the dial shows the traditional four seasons (winter, spring, summer, & fall) in the corners, the upper section has a painted scene with a castle, bridge and river with a boat; Signed in the lower right corner by Fidel Hofmeier of Neustadt a listed clock maker and dial painter in the 1840s.
