Unused, 1946-1947, one signature crosses both stamps from left to right.

Postal covers signed by Orville Wright and affixed with various aviation-related stamps are familiar to collectors. His signatures placed directly on loose stamps, however, are found almost exclusively on the Scott 649 2-cent commemorative associated with 1928's International Civil Aeronautics Conference. The stamps presented here, though, are from a later issue and were autographed during a personal visit to a friend's home. Perhaps this particular stamp and autograph combination is unique. If not, it is at least excessively rare.
