The first from the late 18th century, silk needlepoint on silk field, figure of standing Madonna with silver and gold-tone sequins sewn into a scrolling floral and foliate border and housed in a mahogany veneered frame, (DOA 9 x 7.25 in.) (some spotting and fraying to silk, some loss to frame); the second, a carved and polychrome figure of the supplicant Mary Magdalene, likely early 19th century, affixed to a later carved and gilt wood wall bracket (figure: 4 1/8 in., DOA: 17 in.) (some flaking to figure, flaking and some loss and repair breaks to bracket).
