Both signed by foundry on back and artist-signed on left side of base, the first reading, "Copyright by Henry Hering / 1915"; the second with "HH / 1923." Henry Hering (1874 - 1949) was a junior colleague of the renowned sculptor Augustus St. Gaudens.
