Oil on canvas, signed and inscribed by the artist at lower right, "To my friend Mr. Montross / Bruce Crane," housed in a modern gilt cove molded frame with linen liner. This picture was likely a gift from Crane to Mr. N. E. Montross, a New York City gallery owner well-known for championing the works of American artists during the early 20th century. Crane exhibited frequently at Mr. Montross' gallery and his works were included in his personal collection.
