Oil on canvas, signed and inscribed in the lower right "Nellie M. Blair / June 21, 1878 / Wyoming Seminary / Spring Term," framed in an attractive 19th c. gilt wood frame. Wyoming Seminary was one of America's first co-educational boarding schools. Located in Kingston, Pennsylvania, the school was founded by Methodists in 1844. Research indicates that Miss Nellie M.
