Three Large Antique Stained Glass Church Panels

Circa 1900, transitional style leaded glass, the first is featuring the Ten Commandments with Holy Bible and memorial panel of "Mr. & Mrs. Bainbridge by Rev. and Mrs. G.L. Gross," comprised of slag, clear and stained glass sections. The second features a central cross and grapevine with crown atop and lower memorial panel reading "In Memory of William C. Covert," stained and slag glass panels primarily in shades of yellow and blue. The third features a central anchor and rope with Holy Bible atop and lower memorial panel reading "Remember the Sabbath Day to Keep it Holy, Mrs. R.S. Wilcox," all three are housed in original painted pine frames with metal bar supports.

All measure 97 x 45.25 in.

The windows were dismantled from the First Baptist Church of Romulus (Kendaia), Seneca County, N.Y. "The First Baptist Church of Romulus was established in 1795 with seven members. The first church was established in 1808 and was rebuilt in 1849." -First Baptist Church of Romulus records #6034 Division of Rare and Manuscript Collections, Cornell University Library. William Covert is listed as a church member in the 1895-6 "Manual of the Churches of Seneca County with Sketches of Their Pastors."
