Second quarter of the19th century, Rowan County, figured birch, yellow pine secondary, two part form, the top with molded cornice over boldly carved dentil molding, double paneled doors with molded frame enclose a shelved interior. The base has a slant lid fronting an exceptional divided interior featuring deeply scalloped valances over open cubbies, horizontal and vertical reeding to compartment doors flanking a prospect with sunburst carving, the three over two cock-beaded drawer case raised on robust waterfall feet.
