The first designed as a swimming turtle set with an oval mottled green jade (approximately 18.5 x 14.3 mm) to the sculpted gold body detail (1.5 x 1.25 in.); the second designed as a walking turtle composed of satin finished gold, with a single red gem set eye (1.5 x 1 in.). Mounted in stamped 14KT and 18KT gold respectively.

Estate of the late Dr. Stewart Penfold Blake of Palo Alto, CA and Charlotte, NC Stewart Penfold Blake (Col. USArmy Ret.) was a proud soldier, superb story-teller, lover of music from Mozart to Benny Goodman, gracious host, wine connoisseur and knowledgeable art lover. Among his many proud accomplishments were his design of the test track for Porsche in Stuttgart, Germany and his design for carrying Venezuelan oil from the fields to the sea. His estate represents his life in appreciation of history and diverse cultures.
