The white enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer border with five-minute Arabic markers and decorative rose-cut diamond set hands, with gold tone repousse outer traveling case depicting a classical figural scene and diamond bezel set to outer case, with gold chain and key.

J.P. Kroese is listed in J.H. Baillie's "Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World" as as having lived and worked in Amsterdam circa 1743 - 1775.
