The first of 18th century golfers painted on lid and side panels, interior lid reads: "William Innes, a Member of Parliament and Captain in 1778 of the Society of Goffers at the Royal Blackheath Golf Club, After a painting by Lemuel Francis Abbot" the bottom interior reads: "In 1608 a Blackheath James I introduced golf to England from Scotland", signed on base (1.5 x 2.5 in.; small fleabite chip to enamel at base edge); the second a quail hunter scene to lid with cobalt base, interior with rifle scene, signed on base (1 x 2 x 1.75 in.; good condition); includes catalog booklet.
