Circa 1840, mahogany and mahogany veneers, the rectangular top with applied molded edge above a square reverse tapered standard, over on a incurvate plinth decorated with beaded molding raised on robust paw feet. Likely original brass catch to secure table top.

This form of table was often used in private home ballroom where it was opened when the late night supper was served.
