19th century, two part form, mahogany and mahogany veneers, the base having yellow pine secondary, the bookcase of a Gothic style with two glazed doors and shelved interior; the base features a cylinder roll lid enclosing a divided interior above a writing slide and four cock-beaded drawers, raised on short turned legs with ball feet. Likely an associated bookcase.
