Circa 1750, walnut with white pine corner blocks, the veneered back spooned with strongly carved shell crest, horizontal shaping with applied shaping to rear of side seat rails, splat is seated in a shoe which is one piece with the rear seat rail, slip seat, cabriole front legs terminating in trifid foot.
