(French, 1891-1986) each panel of colored enamels over copper plate; the first of a woman reclining on a bed with book, etch signed lower right "P. Mergier" and upper left "P. Me.," with two holes in top corners for mounting (9.5 x 7.5 in.) (some chipping and loss of enamel to three corners and left side); the second of Madonna with child presented in leather mat, ink signed "Joyeux Noel" en verso (SS: 2.5 x 2 in; DOA: 6 x 4.25 in.) (some wear to leather mat, enamel with some crazing in top right corner); the third panel of still life with floral spray in vase, signed in enamel lower left "PM," mounted in green velvet mat (SS: 4 x 3 in.; DOA: 6.75 x 5.25 in.) (no apparent condition concerns); the fourth of still life with white roses in yellow vase, signed in enamel lower left "PM" and en verso "Joyeux Noel 1951," mounted in cloth mat (SS: 4 x 5 in.; DOA: 7.75 x 8.75 in.) (no apparent condition concerns); the fifth panel of still life with wine and pears on table top, etch signed "P. Mergier 1944" lower right, with two holes for mounting in top corners (9.5 x 7.5 in.) (some loss to enamel on three corners and side edges, tight hairlines to top).
