Watercolor on ivory of Jane McLennan Ober (1868-1939) of Lake Forest, Illinois, daughter of Catherine Cole Noyes and Donald Roderick McLennan (1873-1944), co- founder of the insurance and brokerage firm of Marsh & McLennan. Presented in original gilt tone bezel frame housed in contemporary shadowbox frame.

Anna Lynch, a student of William-Adolphe Bouguereau, was well-known for her portrait miniatures of children and was featured in the "Exhibition of Miniatures by Miss Anna Lynch" at The Art Institute of Chicago in December, 1906. Other exhibitions include the National Academy of Design and the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts.
