Both are landscapes, oil on artist's board, the first of a rolling meadow signed "Alex. Fournier" lower left, presented in its original gilt wood frame (SS 6 x 9 in.; DOA 8 x 11 in.); the second is unsigned and attributed to Fournier, it shows a mountain valley and is also in an original gilt wood frame (SS 6 x 8 in.; DOA 9 x 11 in.).

Alexis Fournier, trained in the French Barbizon tradition, came to the forefront of the Arts and Crafts Movement in America and was highly regarded by Elbert Hubbard.
