Unknown photographer, circa 1920s, from somewhat earlier negatives, subjects include a Navajo mother holding her child; (2) views of the Tonto cliff dwellings; a river settlement, possibly along the Colorado. The verso of a cliff dwelling image is pencil inscribed "Hoyt Medlar." A 17 year-old laborer of that name is listed as a Phoenix resident in the 1900 census and perhaps owned, made or printed the photographs. Unframed.

Light damp stains along edges; minor scuffs; one image with a pin-sized push from the back that does not penetrate the paper. Photo of mother and child and photo of village with river have identical 3/4" tears. Overall very good condition.
