Identified Confederate Southern Cross of Honor
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Bronze, circa 1900, manufactured by Charles W. Crankshaw, Atlanta, GA, the bar engraved C. M. PATRICK, the medal numbered 2726. These awards for meritorious service were presented to Confederate veterans by the United Daughters of the Confederacy. This example comes from South Carolina. Rosters from that state list a C. M. Patrick in Co. "F", 1st SC Infantry and a Charles M. Patrick in Co. "C", SC Washington Artillery. It is quite possible that these soldiers are the one in the same person given frequent transfers within the Confederate army.

2 x 1.5 in.

Nice original patina; wear to the high points.
