Probably Pennsylvania, the first a finely cut Scherenschnitte of wove paper depicting a foliate border of shield form with stylized trees and birds perched aloft surmounted by a pair of crossed keys, name and date of "Mary Hasell / September 27 1787" cut onto the work, framed and mounted under glass against later blue linen background (Work 4.5 x 5.75 in.; DOA 8.5 x 9.5 in.), (minor tears). The second a cut and lobed work with watercolor on wove paper with German inscription reading "Gott dank mir nicht fallen..." and "Susanna Falmann 1829." (Work 5 x 5 in.; DOA 7.25 x 7 in.).
