Early 20th century, having a molded and oil-painted head distinguished by large brown eyes, brush-stroke hair, and applied ears, the cloth body stamped on the abdomen "No.'00 Patented Sept. 26 19(?04)" and on the back "Mrs. S.S. Smith Roanoke Ala." The jointed composition body has painted lower arms and charming blue high boots. Included are three pieces of hand sewn silk satin clothing.
