Both Jacquard woven coverlets of wool and natural cotton, the first of green and red on a cream field with three sides fringed, the border having woven inscription "Made by W. Ney Meyerstown, PA." William Ney (1811-1892) was a weaver active in the Lebanon, Pennsylvania region. The second of natural cotton and wool in colors of orange, red and green on cream field with three fringed sides, with central star medallion and floral motif; bottom border reads "M + By + H. Stager Mount Joy Warranted Fast Colors No 1 Lancaster Co. Pa." Henry F. Stager (1821-1888) was a prolific weaver in the Lancaster Co. region of Pennsylvania.
