Antique Red Coral Bracelet
Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Designed in the center with a finely carved cupid among a banner which in turn suspends a coral heart opening to a glass compartment where one could store a memento of their loved one, the rest of the bracelet carved with openwork red coral links and ribbon work bows which suspend either a carved coral cross or heart, completed by a slide in clasp and safety chain, mounted in 14KT yellow gold (unmarked but tested).

8 in.

Private Collection from Western North Carolina

The bracelet overall is in fair to good condition for its age with a noticeable chip to one openwork link of the right of the center motif; swag decoration is deficient from three of the four carved coral bows, one of the two original coral crosses is deficient and was replaced by a lighter coral fragment which is now broken, some evidence of solder and glue repair to the reverse, overall the bracelet shows very well.
