One page on White House letterhead, 9 x 7 in., Washington, D. C., May 2, 1921, to Illinois Representative William a. Rodenberg. It reads, in part: "I have wanted for some days to write you concerning your letter of several days ago relating to the appointment of a public printer and your disappointment that I did not name Mr. Ricketts for the place...I did feel that inasmuch as there had been a controversy over his services a number of years ago that I had better avoid becoming a party thereto..." Mounted with a Pac Brothers photograph in a modern gilt wooden frame.
