19th century, steel construction plated with brass. The crested helmet is faced with a grenadier's flaming bomb device. The cuirass has no service branch designation and its breastplate is numbered "245" on both shoulders. The backplate is stamped with an inverted "L" on both shoulders. There are no interior markings.

Considerable loss to the helmet's chinstrap and liner leather; several perforations around the helmet's bomb device; the backplate is missing one brass rivet; no leather backing to the cuirass straps; all exterior surfaces cleaned and burnished.
