19th century, steel construction with brass accents. The front of the helmet's crest carries a grenadier's flaming bomb device whereas the cuirass is faced with a sunburst plate. The breastplate appears to be marked "00" on the right shoulder; the backplate is marked "10r" on the left shoulder.

The helmet's liner is intact with crazed surfaces; splits to chinstrap leather, although cuirass strap leather is intact; some light rust spots and dents; all exterior surfaces cleaned and burnished.
