Late 19th century, carved polychrome heads, hands and feet, each depicting a Saracen wearing a fabric-wrapped conical metal helmet, the first (32.5 in.), is clad in a skirt only; the second (42 in.), is fully outfitted in a European uniform having metal epaulettes.

The smaller puppet has considerable loss to its nose; the larger puppet has a repaired right foot; paint flaking, soiling and mothing are common to both costumes. With custom stands.
