Possibly by John Vogler (NC,1783-1881), hollow cut of wove paper, bust length profile of a young lay with hair comb and a finely cut ruffled collar. Pencil inscription en verso "Mother." A later backing paper reads "From descendants of Salem family / Vogler + Dalton Holmes"; housed in early painted frame.
