All silk on linen ground, the first of Mary Ann Milton, dated 1779, with house and a reference to biblical verse, "Phil. lv. 6," housed in later mahogany veneered frame (SS 6 x 6 in.; DOA 6.5 x 6.5 in.); the second by Margaret Anderson, a narrow band sampler with alphabet and tulips and initials of most likely family members (SS 17 x 6.75 in.; DOA 20.5 x 10.25); the third a narrow verse sampler of Thomasina Wood "born June 25 / 1772 finish this sampler in the month / of October in the ninth year of her / age," housed in thin black frame (SS 17 x 8.5 in.; DOA 18 x 9.5 in.), with scattered areas of repair.
